Lea Gottlieb – Lady of the Daisies

If you live or visit Tel Aviv any time soon you have to, just HAVE TO, go to the Lea Gottlieb exhibition at the Design Museum of Holon! It’s an amazing exhibition called “Lady of the Dasies” and it showcases the history of the famous brand Gotex that Lea founded in 1956. She said “I Like Making Something Out of Nothing” and believe me, she really did, her work is splendorous and fascinating. So I repeat, if you have a chance – run to check her work, I promise you won’t regret it.

Old Jaffa’s Secret Doors

In one of the sunny winter days I went for a trip to Old Jaffa. I described this place a bit already in my previous post but there is one thing that really brought my attention this time. The old city is full of beautiful doors and gates. All locked, all mysterious.  They all look like taken from fairy tales and makes you wonder about all the people that crossed them along all those long years. Some of them are so tiny that they look like they were made only for dwarfs while others are huge and remind you of doors from old castles.

The atmosphere of Jaffa is magical and you can feel it every minute you’re there. If you ever come to Tel-Aviv, Old Jaffa should be definitely number one on your “To See” list.

Just look at these doors, aren’t they from a different world?
